NEW YORK, February 6 — Altana, the world’s first Value Chain Management System, is pleased to announce veteran technology sales executive John Capaldi will be joining as Chief Revenue Officer.
John brings a wealth of knowledge and experience managing enterprise sales teams in category-creating businesses and closing deals spanning mid-market to large, strategic enterprise accounts. He will lead Altana’s sales efforts as the company builds a global B2B and B2G user network on top of the world’s largest body of data on the global supply chain, overseeing enterprise and government commercial sales and account management operations and engineering. He succeeds Aaron Libbey, who is moving to the newly created role of Chief Growth Officer.
He joins Altana from FinTech startup Zip. Before that, John was instrumental in growing annual recurring revenue at Celonis, building top-down enterprise sales motions, leading transformative deals, and helping establish Celonis as a leader in the process intelligence space. Over 11 years at Qlik before that, John played a central role in scaling the business and drove the evolution from transactional product-led growth sales to enterprise-focused motions. John was also pivotal in hiring and scaling the sales team, directly contributing to Qlik’s IPO and eventual acquisition by Thoma Bravo.
“John has built high velocity, product-led, inside sales teams; he also has built strategic, enterprise field sales teams landing big deals with the world’s largest organizations,” said Altana CEO Evan Smith. “And he has built and executed both at the same time, which is extremely rare to find.”
“Joining Altana presents an extraordinary opportunity to tackle some of the most complex supply chain challenges with cutting-edge technology,” said Capaldi. “I'm excited to be part of a team that is redefining value chain management and to lead the charge in expanding our reach and impact in both the commercial and government sectors."
