LONDON, February 6 — Altana, the world’s first Value Chain Management System, has been selected by NATO’s Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) to screen vendors providing equipment to the alliance.
The agreement reflects NSPA's desire to be an early adopter of industry-leading capability to drive engagement with the defence industrial base, and drive governments’ adoption of novel technology.
"We’re thrilled to be partnering with the NATO Support and Procurement Agency to make the alliance more resilient and provide a foundation for the kind of network collaboration that Altana sees as core to fixing globalisation,” said Altana CEO Evan Smith. “As the world becomes more fractured, it's more important than ever to provide visibility and trust to underpin core networks. We're excited to see this as the beginning of a journey.”
NSPA bridges the gap between NATO's operational requirements, the defence industrial base, and national level procurement departments to generate enduring resilience. NSPA wanted a commercial, off-the-shelf solution to enable the agency to identify the risks of doing business with potential suppliers to the alliance’s defence apparatus.
Altana provides NSPA a platform capability for illuminating product value chains, screening for risk, modeling these networks with artificial intelligence, and collaborating with partners across unclassified data - all powered by the world’s largest body of organized supply chain data.
