The Blue UAS Cleared List is the standard for federal drone procurement. AUVSI's Green UAS certification offers a streamlined pathway to achieving it. But getting on the list is only the first step. Green UAS is AUVSI's cybersecurity and supply chain compliance certification for drones, components, and software manufacturers. It verifies that a system is built securely, uses trusted components, and follows best practices for cybersecurity and supply chain integrity. The program offers two tiers: Green UAS Cleared, a streamlined pathway aligned directly with Blue UAS Cleared standards, and Green UAS Certified, which adds corporate cyber hygiene and remote operations and connectivity assessments. Both pathways are recognized as authorized routes to Blue UAS Cleared status.
Blue UAS is managed by DCMA and focused on DoW procurement. Green UAS, managed by AUVSI, was originally built for commercial and non-defense markets but now serves as a direct, streamlined pathway into the Blue UAS ecosystem. Green UAS Cleared evaluates the two foundational security areas required for Blue UAS alignment. Green UAS Certified goes further with additional cybersecurity frameworks. Altana powers the supply chain compliance layer of the Green UAS program — providing multi-tier value chain tracing, screening, and continuous monitoring.
You start by uploading your BOM. Altana uses AI to illuminate your multi-tier value chain. You collaborate with your suppliers to verify their tiers in a shared, secure environment — they don't need a separate subscription. Your value chain is screened for NDAA compliance at the product and facility level, and findings surface in real time within your Product Passport. Returning Gauntlet 1 manufacturers start with pre-populated records.
