June 26, 2024 – Altana is pleased to announce that SKIMS, the solutions-oriented brand founded by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede that is creating the next generation of underwear, loungewear, and shapewear, has selected Altana to ensure ethical and sustainable production across all of its extended supplier networks.

The SKIMS brand goal is “to consistently innovate on the past and advance the industry for the future.” This includes leveraging Altana, a unified system for value chain management built on the only dynamic, intelligent map of the supply chain, as a first line of defense for vendor onboarding and pre-sourcing to illuminate, identify, and manage compliance risk from a single source of truth.

“I think what really excites me on the social responsibility side is the transparency and traceability risk management tools,” said Priscilla Pacheco, SKIMS Senior Manager, Product Integrity and Compliance.

Pacheco said Skims uses the technology to determine exposures across a number of different standards, “whether it’s the UFLPA or other sanctions—they have many variables you can look into,” according to an article in Sourcing Journal.

“SKIMS has been setting new standards since it was founded in 2019,” said Evan Smith, CEO and co-founder, Altana. “We are excited to have the brand’s trust and are confident that Altana and our technology will enable newfound innovation as SKIMS works with vendors across its extended value chain to ensure sustainable and ethical products.”
