AUVSI Continuous Compliance

Your Fastest Path to Green & Blue UAS Certification — and Only Path to Continuous Compliance

Iterate designs, diversify your suppliers, and maintain certification — without full re-authorization every time something changes.

The opportunity

The opportunity is massive. The current process can’t keep up.

The Blue UAS Cleared List is the standard for federal drone procurement. AUVSI's Green UAS certification offers a streamlined pathway to achieving it. But getting on the list is only the first step. To win, manufacturers need to iterate designs, diversify away from adversary-dependent suppliers, and scale production — all while staying certified.

Today's compliance model wasn't built for that. Every design revision triggers full re-authorization. There's no monitoring between certifications. Recertification starts from scratch. And as export restrictions and sourcing rules evolve in real time, a value chain that's compliant today may not be tomorrow.

The compliance model meant to secure the supply chain is actually inhibiting manufacturers from building more secure, more resilient supply chains.

Altana changes the model

Multi-tier network traceability, verification, collaboration, and continuous compliance

  • Trace your multi-tier value chain

Collaborate with your suppliers in Altana to trace and verify your multi-tier value chains – from raw materials to finished platform.

  • Screen for NDAA compliance at every tier

AI screens your value chains for risk at the product and facility level. As requirements expand to additional regulatory frameworks, screening evolves with them.

  • Share with AUVSI and DCMA

Share and certify by sending your verified value chain directly to AUVSI and DCMA through Product Passports — and collaborate to resolve gaps from one shared environment.

  • Iterate freely, monitor continuously

Every design revision and supplier substitution is screened in real time at no additional cost. No re-authorization fees. No starting over. AI monitors your value chain for material changes. No surprises at recertification. No compliance gaps between cycles.

Impact

With multi-tier traceability, verification, collaboration, and monitoring, manufacturers can iterate faster and warfighters get trusted equipment sooner.

Proof points

Why drone manufacturers choose Altana

  • FedRAMP High authorized

Authorized on AWS GovCloud for the government's most sensitive missions — including defense acquisition and sustainment.

  • Proven at national scale

The same Product Passport infrastructure manufacturers use for Green UAS certification is already operational at U.S. Customs and Border Protection — pre-validating multi-tier value chains across thousands of product lines. The model is fielded, trusted, and built for scale.

  • 30+ platforms certified in two weeks

AUVSI and Altana deployed continuous compliance for Drone Dominance Gauntlet I — compressing certification timelines from months to days.

  • Your compliance becomes a competitive advantage

Suppliers verified for one platform carry that record forward to the next. Early movers build a trusted compliance foundation that accelerates every future certification and deepens the network for everyone.

  • $1B+ in federal drone orders at stake

The Drone Dominance Program plans $1 billion in procurement over two years, with a goal of 200,000+ drones by 2027. The manufacturers who can certify and stay certified will win.

XPONENTIAL 2026

The Altana team exhibited at XPONENTIAL 2026 showing drone manufacturers how continuous compliance works in practice. This included walkthroughs of multi-tier supply chain tracing, product-level NDAA and ASDA screening, and the supplier collaboration workflows that accelerate Blue UAS eligibility.

Missed us at the conference? We would love to show you what verified, deep-tier compliance looks like — and how to maintain it between certification cycles.

FAQs

  • Green UAS is AUVSI's cybersecurity and supply chain compliance certification for drones, components, and software manufacturers. It verifies that a system is built securely, uses trusted components, and follows best practices for cybersecurity and supply chain integrity. The program offers two tiers: Green UAS Cleared, a streamlined pathway aligned directly with Blue UAS Cleared standards, and Green UAS Certified, which adds corporate cyber hygiene and remote operations and connectivity assessments. Both pathways are recognized as authorized routes to Blue UAS Cleared status.

  • Blue UAS is managed by DCMA and focused on DoW procurement. Green UAS, managed by AUVSI, was originally built for commercial and non-defense markets but now serves as a direct, streamlined pathway into the Blue UAS ecosystem. Green UAS Cleared evaluates the two foundational security areas required for Blue UAS alignment. Green UAS Certified goes further with additional cybersecurity frameworks. Altana powers the supply chain compliance layer of the Green UAS program — providing multi-tier value chain tracing, screening, and continuous monitoring.

  • You start by uploading your BOM. Altana uses AI to illuminate your multi-tier value chain. You collaborate with your suppliers to verify their tiers in a shared, secure environment — they don't need a separate subscription. Your value chain is screened for NDAA compliance at the product and facility level, and findings surface in real time within your Product Passport. Returning Gauntlet 1 manufacturers start with pre-populated records.

  • Suppliers are invited into a shared, secure environment to verify their portion of the value chain. They don’t need a separate Altana subscription — collaboration is built into the platform.

  • Altana screens for NDAA compliance at the product, facility, and transaction level — tracing value chains into the deep tiers where company-level screening can't reach. As DCMA's requirements expand to include additional regulatory frameworks such as ASDA and FOCI, screening will evolve with them.

  • Altana's continuous monitoring detects changes to your value chain automatically — supplier acquisitions, sourcing shifts, component substitutions. When you swap a PRC-origin part for an allied-nation equivalent, replace an end-of-life component, or qualify a new supplier, Altana traces the new value chain and screens it against the same compliance criteria — immediately, at no additional cost. Design revisions are screened in real time, so you're not starting from scratch every time you improve your platform. Recertification becomes a verification of what changed, not a full rebuild.

  • When Altana detects a material change — a supplier acquisition, a sourcing shift to a covered country, a new sanctions designation hitting a company deep in your value chain — you and DCMA are alerted in the same shared environment. The alert includes full context: what changed, which components are affected, and which platforms share that component. You can remediate directly within the Product Passport, and DCMA reviews the change from the same record.

  • Rather than treating every component change as a re-authorization event, Altana screens substitutions in real time as part of continuous monitoring. When you swap a PRC-origin part for an allied-nation equivalent, replace an end-of-life component, or qualify a new supplier, Altana traces the new value chain and screens it against the same compliance criteria — immediately, at no additional cost. This means you can actively diversify your supply chain and iterate designs without compliance becoming the bottleneck.
